Mr. Abdulkarim A. Al-Ghamdi is the Executive Director for Power Systems at Saudi Aramco. He has over 20 years’ experience of making measurable contributions towards Saudi Aramco’s strategic and commercial goals, and has worked in numerous different fields including Oil, Gas, Distribution, Marine, Refining and Budgeting.
Mr. Al-Ghamdi has held a number of Operational and Planning positions within several business lines, namely: Budgeting Director and Planning Manager, managing the company capital program and long term investment plans, Executive Assistant, Petron Corporations Philippines; Accelerated Transformation Program (ATP), ATP Office; Manager, Process & Control Systems Department; Manager, Berri Gas Plant Department; Manager, Uthmaniyah Gas Plant Department; Manager, Facilities Planning Department and Chief Engineer, Engineering Services.
Mr. Al-Ghamdi holds a Masters Degree (MS) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Degree (BSc) in Chemical Engineering from the King Fahd University for Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) and attended Harvard Business School from 2011-2012.
Mr. Al-Ghamdi holds various Board Member positions within Government Societies, is Chairman of Fadhili CoGeneration Company, Chairman of The National Power Academy, Chairman of Aramco Power and Member of the Board of Marafiq and PCPC (Power Cogeneration Power Company).
Dr. Saad Alshayeb, VP of Education

Dr. Saad Alshayeb is the Vice President of Education at Colleges of Excellence. He has over three decades of extensive leadership experience in management, quality assurance, accreditation, national qualification frameworks and education within the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.
Dr. Alshayeb serves as a founder and member on many local, regional and international committees and has represented the government of Saudi Arabia in global TVET councils. He regularly participates in technical conferences and has led workshops which target modern evaluation methods for performance of governmental entities and technical and vocational qualification frameworks in Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Alshayeb has a PhD from University Of Bradford UK, a Masters from University of Surrey UK and a bachelor’s degree from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. He has also attended leadership programs related to education excellence, strategic management in the TVET sector, and development of vocational skills.

Mr. Abdul Rahman M. Al-Obayed is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Saudi Electricity Company (SEC). Mr. Obayed has over two decades of progressive experience in Strategic Planning, Project management, Change management, Organization & HR Planning functions and has played an anchoring role in the transformation of the SEC over the last two decades.
Mr. Obayed has a degree in Business Administration from King Saud University and has attended executive leadership programs at the top institutes worldwide including Harvard and Stanford Business schools.
Mr. Obayed has authored numerous articles and regularly presents at local and regional conferences.

Eng. Abdullah I. M. Al Abdulkarim serves as the Deputy Governor for planning and development at the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC)
Throughout his twenty year vibrant career, Eng. Abdullah occupied multiple senior positions at SWCC; he was the Team Leader of the Business Process Reengineering task force in 2007, the Team Leader as well of the Strategic Planning task force in 2009, then the General Manager of the Strategic Planning and Budgeting Department in 2010, before becoming the Deputy of the Governor in 2013.
Having a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Eng. Abdullah has participated in multiple leadership and management seminars and courses in top ranking universities of the world, and has also attended multiple conferences and forums on issues related to Development, Sustainability and Water, Governance and Technology, as a speaker and lecturer.
Ali Ahmed Al-Shubaili,
GM – Technical Asset Management
Mr Ali Ahmed Al-Shubaili is the General Manager for Technical Asset Management at Marafiq - Yanbu. Having graduated in 1989 from King AbdulAziz University as an electrical engineer, Mr. Al-Shubaili began his illustrious career at Saudi Electricity Company as an electrical engineer. In 1991, he joined the Royal Commission (RC) and held different positions until 2003 when RC privatized the utilities business through formation of Marafiq, where he was appointed Manager Transmission & Distribution. In 2008, Mr Al-Shubaili became Plant GM, Operations and Maintenance and then in 2016 became GM of Technical Asset Management.
During his career, Mr. Al-Shubaili has been a member of various committees, both internal and external including reliability, enterprise risk management, safety, power quality and national grid committee, and has participated in many conferences and presented several papers in Hybrid Power Generation and Power system simulations.
Mr. Al-Shubaili is a member of the IEEE and Saudi Council of Engineers.
Dr. Mesfer M. Al-Zahrani

Dr. Mesfer M. Al-Zahrani is currently the Dean of the College of Engineering Sciences at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM). Prior to his current position, he served in several positions including the Dean of Student Affairs, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs for Employment and Training and Coordinator for the Building Materials Research Group in the Center for Engineering Research, KFUPM.
Dr. Al-Zahrani has also participated in many boards, committees, and societies at KFUPM as well as on the national level. He is an Associate Professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at KFUPM. Dr. Al-Zahrani earned his Ph.D from the Pennsylvania State University in structure and materials, USA, and his MS and BS from KFUPM - all in Civil Engineering.

Mr. Ammar M. Zwawi is the General Manager for GE Gas Power Systems in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Zwawi is an experienced and accomplished executive with a track record of driving sales and revenue growth within the power industry.
Before his current position, Mr. Zwawi led the power generation services core and industrial commercial operations teams at GE, driving growth and building a self-sustaining commercial operation center of excellence. He has also held leadership positions within GE Power & Water – Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Najib Abdulaziz Al Naim is the President of Schneider Electric, Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Having been associated with various prestigious organizations in the power and energy sector in different capacities, Mr. Al-Naim has been active figure in the regional power and energy industry for more than two decades.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Al-Naim held leadership positions with Invensys, GE Oil & Gas - Saudi Arabia, Middle East Engineering Ltd. (GE MEELSA), and Saudi Electricity Company.
Mr. Al-Naim has won many accolades for his untiring efforts and outstanding sales growth in the various companies he has served. Mr. Al-Naim is a graduate of King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals and has attended international executive leadership programs.
