The National Power Academy (NPA) participates in the 8th Saudi Conference for Smart Grids and signed two strategic agreements

NPA has concluded two strategic agreements with Al-Shareef Holding Group during the 8th Saudi  Conference  on Smart Grids 2018. The agreement aims at effecting mutual cooperation in the field of training and qualifying local talent in the energy field. Al-Shareef Holding is considered to be a leading Saudi private sector entity that joins force with the NPA as a strategic partner. Mr. Ahmed Al-Essa (NPA’s Executive Director) has signed the agreement on behalf of the NPA, Mr. Al-Shareef Nawwaf Bin Fayez has signed on behalf of Al-Shareef Group. In attendance were:

 Mr. Abdul-Kareem Al-Ghamdi (Chairman of the NPA’s Board of Trustees and VP of Saudi Aramco Power Systems), Mr. Fayez Bin Abdul-Hakeem (Chairman of Al-Shareef Group Executive Board) , Mr. Zackery Allen (General Manager of Bismarck State College) and Mr. Ahmed Al-Ghamdi (NPA’s Training and Development Director)

During the same conference, NPA has signed another agreement with Al-Jihaz company aiming at opening channels of cooperation in the energy field. The agreement was signed by the NPA’s executive Director (Mr. Ahmed Al-Essa) and Mr. Sami Bin Saeed Al-Anqari ( Al-Jihaz CEO)

In attendance were:

Mr. Abdul-Kareem Al-Ghamdi (Chairman of the NPA’s Board of Trustees and VP of Saudi Aramco Power Systems),Mr. Ahmed Bin Saeed Al-Anqai (Al-Jihaz Vice President)  , Mr. Zackery Allen (General Manager of Bismarck State College) and Mr. Ahmed Al-Ghamdi (NPA’s Training and Development Director)

It’s worth noting that the NPA is an independent, not-for-profit entity  that has been established under the auspices of and a unique partnership with big energy companies and organizations such as:

Saudi Aramco, Saudi Electricity Company, TVTC, KFUPM, together with General Electric, Siemens, Schneider, Marafeq, Al-Shareef Holding, and Sea Water Desalination Organization.

HADAF and The Colleges of Excellence provide financial support as well.

The first batch of students have started their training at the NPA in September 2018.
