Facilities Maintenance
Description
The Associate Diploma in Facilities Maintenance is designed to equip trainees with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to support Facilities Maintenance Technicians in the building maintenance sector. The program emphasizes safe work practices, effective use of tools, and the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. Trainees develop competencies in routine inspections, fault diagnosis, equipment repair, and accurate maintenance recordkeeping. The curriculum covers foundational health and safety, measurement systems, electrical fundamentals, bench work and technical drawings, lighting circuits, mechanical equipment, and HVAC systems, ensuring graduates are well prepared for entry-level roles in facilities maintenance.
